Globus Autumn/Winter Collection.

  Nothing could be more fun that getting to try unlimited clothes and playing dress up with your best friend on a lazy Sunday afternoon, and that's exactly how we reviewed the Globus Autumn/Winter Collection last week.

What we loved:
The color block bags and clutches.
Incorporation of trends like polka dots, bird print, tweed, sequins in their collection.
Droll worthy Indian wear.
Affordable prices.
Super friendly staff.

What we didn't like:
The fact that their last size in bottom wear was 32.
And the clutches were kept in an disorganized way.

             We wore a few of their pieces and incorporated it in our way.

INDIA BRIDAL FASHION WEEK 2012 - TARUN TAHILIANI

   We were invited for the AAMBY VALLEY INDIA BRIDAL FASHION WEEK 2012. Yesterday was the Day 1 of the fashion week and the show was opened by TARUN TAHILIANI.

We loved the innovative way in which the ramp was turned into a virtual Garden of Eden with foliage, creepers and greenery swirling down from the ceiling and around the stage. Clumps of delicate plants hung from the walls lit with tiny circular bulbs. Blue fairy lights twinkled around the ramp. As the lights dimmed, the lit bushes rose up to the ceiling to the strains of melodious music and the gentle voice of Sonam Kalra, the trained opera and Hindustani singer which was just so blissful to hear.

Against a backdrop of painted temples and through the very earthy ambience with the audience sitting in the centre and around the amazing catwalk, the presentation featured 41 creations  inspired by the glamour of the 20s, which were created one for each model.

We loved the 1st segment the most in which the creations were red, fuchsia pink and saffron. The models were bare footed which just added to the charm. For the other segments the shoes used just didn't compliment the clothes which was a slight disappointment. 

The shop stopper \Chitrangada Singh in a sensational ivory net lehenga, choli and dupatta creation splashed lavishly with crystals and sequins was just plain wow! :D

The Biba Experience.

         Nothing beats the grandeur of Indian outfits! So when we entered the Biba store what caught our notice was the bright yellow lights, colours playing around and glimpses of India. We both do not find many opportunities in daily life to sport much of Indian wear and hence are not frequent visitors of Biba. But when we were invited to review their new Winter/Fall collection, we thought we'd give it a shot. And we were not disappointed at all.

What we loved:
The amazing use of warm colours to keep the collection lively.
The anarkalis are plain wow.
Well informed staff.
Variety in prints.
Great range of sizes available.
Affordable prices. Most of the outfits worn below were below Rs. 2500/-

What we thought could be better:
More variety in the cuts and patterns of clothes.

This ethinc wear is splendid! Love the border.

The detailing behind this out is breathtaking. Btw its a vest that comes with the outfit.

This is could easily be worn as a maxi dress as well as an anarkali. It's comfortable and trendy.

This kurti is a versatile outfit can be worn in a variety of ways.

Simple yet effortless is what we would like to describe this.

   This outfit has intricate detailing. Which is totally not over the top.

 This outfit is simple yet gorgeous. It fits like a glove!

                                 This outfit we would be wear for college. Love the print and colors!

If you are like us who do not like a lot of bling in their ethinic wear this suit is perfect.
