A mid-day in Paris.

Fashion and Paris is an age-old cliche, yet it's difficult not to fall in the love with a French woman's neat taste for all things fashion.  We were excited to be invited by Elle Fashionwear to preview their Spring Summer '13 collection. The theme of the event being Mid-day in Paris just made it all the better.

The theme of the collection was 'Botanical' and comprised of breezy dresses, coloured denims and pretty jumpsuits. The French theme could be noticed through the strong colours and elegant silhouettes. The collection is a lovely mixture of green, red, purple and yellow.

Even though the collection did not resonate with our personal taste in fashion we could clearly see why so many chic city women would love it!

The event itself was amazing. We got to catch up with Amena and Ritcha and finally got to meet Dayle and Shubhi :D To top it off there was macroons and champange - what more could we ask for!

The joys of comfort.

Staying up till dawn and sleeping till mid noon, Nutella bread for breakfast that makes you drool, late night philosophical talks with your best friend, cute chats with a crush/boyfriend, getting lost between the pages of a book without giving a damn about the time, random moments spent at coffee shops...

Seriously, what's not to love about vacations?

Time for Love.

Sunday is finally here and we can't help but heave a huge sigh of relief. Buried under piles of assignments, projects, notes and trying to effectively manage our academic, social and personal life, we are hardly left with any time to do the things we love the most. Blogging, reading, shopping - have become things we now do only a few minutes a day!
Maybe we just suck at time management and hence the problem. Whatever it is, we managed to do an outfit shoot recently (okay, maybe a week back!). This is the 2nd time we've been inspired from random pictures we saw and incorporated it in some way into our outfits. To check the 1st 'inspired' post you can click here.

Now in no way are you to think that by inspired I meant  inspired by the weight of the elephant :P What caught my eye in this picture is how the colour bluish grey and brown complement each other so beautifully. Privacy! Is it a lot to ask?

In this city of dreams, with its light, passion and vigor, there seems nothing that cannot make us happy. Yet time and again, as much as we love Mumbai, we struggle to cope with how it works. Space, privacy are words unheard of over here.
People cannot keep a distance, cannot respect your privacy even if you are one of those kinds who hardly socialize. This constant need to know the details of all the people in your life might be frustrating someone beyond measure (example = us!). Really! What exactly is so interesting about what's going on in my love life? or what i'm studying? And now that you've poked and prodded me till I answer all your nosey questions, who gave you the right to judge? So i'm just doing ordinary B.A. while your boy is doing engineering? Well! Congo aunty and thanks for the unasked information!
If invasion of mental privacy wasn't enough, the physical part comes in. You can practically never be alone! Most parents don't approve of closed doors of rooms, sitting at a cafe alone means getting weird glances, private time on trains, buses is a joke! So when? When can we just sit, with a cup of coffee, with mental and physical privacy and just be able to breathe?

                                                              Questions, questions!

On a lighter note we clicked these pictures before catching up with an old friend over the movie  'Ishqzaade'. Diana liked it, I didn't! Rare clash of opinions! :P Have you seen it yet? Share it with us in the comments section.

P.S. Thank you guys for showing us so much love in the blogging world. We love each of your comments and are grateful to come across so many awesome people :)

As of the outfits we both went with darker routes.
