Marchesa 2013- The Indian inspiration.

It's always fun keeping track to all the new collections that come out and we were very happy when we saw the Marchesa Spring 2013 collection; and boy were we in love or what!
Seeing any of our favourite international designers using India as a source of inspiration in their designs is true joy especially if they've done it well like this one. And honestly why wouldn't they? India is a very aesthetically pleasing inspiration.

The Spring 2013 collection of Marchesa for Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman is riot of beautiful rich colours of fuchsia, gold, ivory, navy blue and more. The have infused the ornate embellishments and rich silks of our country well.

Loving the beautiful side braids.

This fringe clutch is nothing less that awesomeness! We are in love!

Love this two piece with a lace embroidered crop top and a sheer floor length parachute skirt with a silver embellished waistline. Midriff is a returning trend for the coming year.

Isn't the the detailing in the collection amazing? The kundan kadas go exceptionally well with the looks.

The sheer detailing of the gown is what made us fall in love with this one. The wine colored ensemble trimmed with gold lining also has a gorgeous embroidered pattern at the top.

Is there's one thing that makes us go weak in the knees then it has to be well detailed shoes. And these pair with the lovely embellishment and lace is one of our top favourites.

A lovely sheer cocktail dress with fun orange and gold embroidery.  The piece is simple and versatile making it one of those dresses that can be over accessorized to add glamour.

These were all our favourite pieces from the collection. Tell us which ones are yours in the comments section below.

Have no Expectations.

So we've been out of action for awhile now and while we could just apologize and move on, in reality we aren't apologetic at all! We've been having a hectic time with college, work and so much more and the fact that we both have completely different schedules doesn't help! But if we really have to come with a truthful answer about why we just went missing so soon in our blogging life then it has to be - EXPECTATIONS!
The pressure of expectations is what we've been dealing with all through last month, and hell yeah we weren't enjoying it one bit! We are at the threshold where we are neither kids nor adults and as we are slowing crossing that line we feel the burden of being big gals now, of expectations that we will do something worthwhile and of the fear of not being able to live up to everyone's expectations. And even on the blog there is this constant pressure of dressing better with each outfit, of incorporating trends into each outfit and what not. But we aren't like that! We can't dress for anyone other than ourselves, sometimes we are completely on trend but then other times we are still using last season's trends. And we can't care even if we do!
We are glad you all have supported us so much all along and we are excited for our blogging journey ahead - because now it's just us we're going to please :)

Now for the outfit post that we at last managed to do ;)

Bold and Beautiful!

Yes, we know we are 'Cheaper by the Dozen' and you wouldn't expect us to lust after collections by high fashion houses so much. But come on, who can stay away from these beauties?!?
The Resort Collections 2013 are out! Of course we couldn't see all cause there are so many but from the few that we saw, we loved the Valentino Resort Collection 2013. As the name suggests a resort collection is for the jet setters going on cruises/ vacations/ holidays and are meant to be light and airy.

What we loved  the most bout the Valentino collection were the colours! How can anyone ever go wrong with them?! We felt this collection was really a 'happy collection'! The pop pinks and greens, the pastels, the lace and the pretty embellishments, were all fab.
This collection is a beautiful mix of tulle gowns, high necks, long sleeves, flared skirts, nipped waists, florals, leopard prints and more.

Have you gone through the Resort Collection 2013 yet? Which one is your favourite? Comment below and let us know :)
